Challenge
Internal teams relied on manual lookups and outdated price feeds for precious metals rates — no unified, real-time source integrated into internal workflows or field tooling.
Solution
Built a Ruby on Rails web application and a native Swift iPad app that pull live precious metals spot prices and surface them within internal systems. Postgres serves as the shared data layer for rate history, caching, and audit logging.
Outcome
Real-time metals pricing available across internal platforms. iPad app gives field teams instant access without requiring a desktop session. Rate history is fully queryable from internal workflows.
